Photography

As another method of gathering inspiration for my future Creature Designs i have decided to start practicing my photography skills along the way.

These below are my first addition to what will hopefully become an inspiring catalogue of photographs.

My Photography skills may eventually improve as well which would be a bonus!

Above : The right place at the right time, i managed to capture the split second this Orb Spider captured its evening meal.

Below : A close up of the Orb Spider.
Above : I have no idea what type of fly this is but i love the pattern on its wings.

I took the pictures above while i was visiting the Natural History Museum in Manchester in the Vivarium on site, i think it is a Waxy Monkey Tree Frog. This frog produces a waxy substance from pours on its body which it rubs all over its body enabling it to sit in direct sun light without damaging its skin. Pretty Clever!

During a weekend visit to Bowness on Windermere i gathered hundreds of inspirational photographs, but here are only a small selection.
Above: Swan close up Front, and close up of Swans Left Foot.

Above: Taking in the cold morning rays.

Above: Photographs taken at a birds of prey display at Lake Windermere.

Below: Spring images taken in my garden.

Below are images of a very different Ladybird that i had never seen before, after researching on the internet it turns out this red and black Ladybird is actually really rare and on the endangered list, and is only usually spotted in the South of the UK. So i am very happy to have spotted this guy sat on my deck chair basking in the sunshine :)
