Brief Explanation/Outline of project
In depth exploration of fantasy design driven by real world Biology/Anatomy.
This will take the form of sketch work, digital experimentation and illustration.
My aim is to eventually realise my 2D conceptual work into 3D through Maya.
Context/Rationale
Development of traditional art skills.
Development of digital art skills.
development of 3d art skills.
Creation of a process method of working for the most successful outcomes in terms of 'believable , fantasy concepts.
Key areas of Research/Key Activities
Anatomy/Biology/Natural History.
Visual and non visual fantasy stories/ideas/works.
Maya modelling techniques. Texture Techniques, Rigging Techniques. (this is the greatest unknown in my project).
Intended outcomes of project
A refined process of creature development and concept.
A printed 'Art of' style book of creatures, their development outlining the process utilised/formulated.
At least 1 digital model of a finalised creature concept.
